An Ode to the ODD

I saw a t-shirt walking through the Physical Therapy gym the other day; it was a well-worn promotional t-shirt advertising a Brewery in Eagle, Ak, and it prompted me to ask a question. The male model sporting the cotton tee was happy to tell me the story behind the colorful covering. His son lives in Anchorage, Alaska and he had gone there to visit him recently; they had gone to the popular brewery named and now proclaimed ODD Man Rush Brewing; it was quite an experience, so he bought the shirt. Now, I do tend to think of myself as being a little bit: ODD, different, peculiar, unique, weird, and zany, so I was naturally attracted to this ODD Man's shirt; so much so, that I wrote an Ode to the ODD.

The Wizard of ODD is a colorful spectacle and quite a sight to see; yes, he is

He parades through Life with nary a care or a concern for holding the line

ODD is a twist, a turn, a tornado; with color and sparkles galore

ODD is a present to behold at the moment, and is missed when off in the distance

This wizard is more than magical; he shimmers and he shines

He stands out in a crowd, he takes no prisoners, he sets you free

ODD steps out on a limb with complete confidence, so that you don't have to

ODD dances to his own tune; he has a rhythm and a rhyme of no other time

This wizard is a Worlock, a dancer, and a prancer that never ends

But soon he will be gone, so take his hand, do a twirl, and become one

ODD invites you in, don't be afraid, this is the place to embrace

ODD loves Life, ODD loves you, ODD is You!!
