This not only allows for the full flavor and savor of each and every morsel to reach our orbitofrontal cortex, but it also allows for more complete digestion, produces a healthier gut biome, and helps to establish the gut-brain connection, where the sense of fullness is triggered by the satiety hormones acting on the brain, resulting in a sense of satisfaction, relaxation, and putting an end to the consumption of more food, drink, and dessert.
